Rick Tollakson is responsible for the strategic operations for Hubbell Realty Company and its nineteen subsidiaries including development, asset and property management, CB Richard Ellis/Hubbell Commercial, Hubbell Homes and Hubbell Construction Services. Rick joined Hubbell Realty Company in 1984 and was promoted to President and CEO in 2004. He holds a Construction Engineering degree from Iowa State University and Masters degree in Business Administration from the University of Iowa.
During his career with Hubbell, Rick has been involved in the development of commercial projects such as Riverpoint Business Park, Lakeview Medical Park, Ankeny Business Park, Birchwood Crossing and residential projects including Copper Creek Golf Course Community, Johnston Commons, Glynn Village Conservation Community and The Legacy Golf Course Community. Under Rick’s leadership, Hubbell has expanded its operating units to include entertainment venues such as golf courses, nightclubs and retail clothing stores.
In September of 2006, Rick led his Hubbell Homes construction team and over 200 tradepartners in building a new home for an Iowa family on ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.
In September of 2009, again under Rick’s leadership, the Hubbell Team and their tradepartners built 9 homes in 9 days for the Anawim Housing organization. This extraordinary construction project was accomplished 2 days early.
